About Us

Established in August 8, 1996 The McAllen Professional Law Enforcement Association (MPLEA) formed as an affiliate with the Combined Law Enforcement Associations of Texas (CLEAT).  Police Officers for the City of McAllen Police Department came together to form the association to better the quality of the work environment in the department.  Over the years, the association has grown and involved itself with the community in different aspects of community service and local government.  MPLEA continues to maintain benevolent, educational, charitable, civic, patriotic, fraternal in nature and acts in the best interest of its members.
